Even the same color in the interior, depending on the intensity and duration of exposure makes us either positive or negative emotions. And our eyes can distinguish 1.5 million colors. Color can be annoying, anger, or in front of calm, bringing peace. Listening to your feelings, we want to surround ourselves with the color scheme, in which we fill most comfortable. This is mainly effects the choice of colors for the interior. Still, in nature there are certain laws of the colors on the psychological well-being.

Scientists (R. Francais, M. St George, B. Walton, and others) as a result of numerous studies have concluded that there is a biological innate color preference. Thus, children under the age of one year, regardless of race or place of birth and living show the same preference: to red, orange and yellow, they prefer the green, blue and purple. Among teenagers, and adults here is the color preference: blue, green, red, yellow, orange, purple, white.

Here are some practical tips to help you choose the right color scheme of your rooms:

- With a bright color of the walls, the room seems wider and higher;
- Dark contrasting walls makes the room visually narrow;
- The ceiling will look higher when it is colored lighter than walls, and below, if darker;
- Wallpaper with vertical elements of the pattern make the room more high;
- Draperies, such as pillows, curtains and lampshades made of fabric, contrasting with the overall color scheme, can revive things by making the necessary variety.

Optical features of color in the interior:

  • Dark colors in interior - make the room smaller, lower ceilings;
  • Bright Colors in interior - optically expand the space, the room seems more spacious, the ceilings - higher;
  • Yellow color in interior - makes the room spacious;
  • Green color - neutral;
